You Canβt Turn A Hoe Into A Housewife
The propaganda that keeps women in line and easy to use.
The word whore means βholeβ and it was derived from the ancient times of the Goddess. It was a word used to describe those who could create a portal to the universe.
Youβve heard the phrase. βYou canβt turn a hoe into a housewife.β Itβs been repeated in music, movies, barbershops, bedrooms, and Twitter threads like gospel. But have you ever stopped to ask where it came from, and who it actually benefits?
Because itβs not about truth. Itβs about control.
This line didnβt come from some moral compass or wisdom. It came from systems that have always wanted to control women, especially women who know their power.
Whore: A woman who experiences her sexuality outside of the realms defined by men and the predominant attitude of society. In other words, whore can be defined as a woman who defines herself.
βMenβ created this phrase to punish women who donβt play by their rules. Women who own their sexuality, who enjoy pleasure, who donβt beg for commitment. The kind of woman who knows her worth and wonβt trade it in for performative respectability.
And letβs be honest. The phrase doesnβt actually stop men from sleeping with these women. It just gives them an excuse not to honor them after.
A βhoeβ is just a label slapped onto women who donβt fit into the box. She could be celibate and still be called a hoe because sheβs confident and wonβt tolerate nonsense. Or she could be sexually liberated and comfortable in her skin, and that terrifies the kind of men who want a woman they can mold.
It has nothing to do with body count. Itβs about control. If you can shame her, you can silence her. If you can guilt her, you can guide her...right where you want her.
The βhoeβ trope exists to separate women into categories. Youβre either the Madonna or the Whore. The Good Girl or the One Who Got Ran Through. Itβs psychological warfare. Because once women start judging themselves and each other through those filters, they become easier to manipulate.
Some men want access without accountability. They want to βsampleβ liberated women but marry the ones they think will stay quiet and compliant. But the gag is, those women donβt win either. The housewives get cheated on just like the βhoes.β So who really benefits from this narrative? Not women.
This entire phrase is rooted in obedience. Itβs telling you that unless you perform purity, youβre unworthy of love. That unless you erase your sensuality, you donβt deserve stability. That unless you shrink yourself into a submissive, docile role, youβll never be βwife material.β
Itβs a scam. Because the truth is, some of the most loyal, nurturing, high value women alive are the ones they try to label. And some of the most chaotic, emotionally unavailable women get rings because they played the game.
You donβt have to transform into someone else to be chosen. You donβt have to erase your past to be worthy of your future. You donβt have to abandon yourself to be loved.
You can be a woman whoβs lived, explored, made mistakes, reclaimed her power, and STILL be a wife, a mother, a healer, a leader, and everything else they told you you couldnβt be.
They lied.
So the next time someone throws that phrase around, ask yourself: what are they really trying to say? What truth are they afraid of?
Because a woman who knows her worth, owns her body, sets her standards, and refuses to perform for validation, is not the problem. Sheβs the future.
And if that scares people, let it.
